On 1 August 2016, North Warwickshire & Hinckley College and South Leicestershire College merged. Both colleges continue to operate in their existing names and brands, however, the legal name for the merged College is 'North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College'.
We offer brilliant teaching and learning, excellent work experience placements and opportunities for students to develop independently.
Our excellent facilities, strong partnerships with major employers and universities, and excellent international relationships have helped make us a sought-after place to study for thousands of young people and adults.
Working For us
We employ approximately 650 members of staff, working in a variety of teaching, training and support roles across four sites in Nuneaton, Hinckley and South Wigston.
All contracts of employment will be with 'North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College' - the legal name for the merged College.
All staff have a generous annual leave entitlement of 25 days for support staff (30 days after 5 years' service), 40 days for lecturers and 35 days for management grades. This is in addition to 8 Bank Holidays and 5 discretionary days per year.

The college has a structured pay scale and it is normal practice for new staff joining the College, or those being promoted, to be positioned at the bottom of the scale. Annual incremental increases are awarded, subject to performance
The College believe in developing our staff and are highly committed to the training and development of its employees. All employees go through an induction and a mandatory training programme, including Prevent, Equality & Diversity and Health & Safety, when they first join the College.
The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and has a duty to ensure the suitability of any individual who works with them. If you are offered a position with the College we will ask you to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Application and take up two references, one from your current or last employer.
