Student Liaison Team

The role of the College’s Student Liaison Team is to make your stay at College a first-class experience. You will have access to an Enrichment Programme that is designed to enhance your main programme of study. You can learn skills, try new experiences, accept new challenges, develop a whole range of personal and social skills and more importantly meet new friends and have fun!

In addition we can offer a whole range of support services, including a full range of sexual health services and a listening ear on issues that affect you.

The Team is based in the Student Centres at both North Warwickshire College (Nuneaton) and Hinckley College sites, and also in the refectory at North Warwickshire College (Nuneaton).

The Team can be contacted by telephoning 024 7624 3272 for North Warwickshire College or 024 7624 3483 for Hinckley College or by dropping into the centres where there are no strangers - just friends you have yet to meet!

Tutors and students can find their tutorial session areas on our Moodle site.

What does the Student Liaison Team focus on?

The Student Liaison Team focuses on three main areas of responsibility:
  • The management of student behaviour within the social areas of the College - This includes monitoring and developing programmes that positively encourage students to act in a way that ensures the college remains a safe and welcoming environment;
  • The availability of a high quality support network that is flexible and professional, to meet the needs of students who are experiencing problems that could affect their main programme of learning - The support network also offers students up-to-date information on many issues for course related work;
  • An enrichment programme of activities and events that enhances students’ main programmes of study -These activities are flexible, achievable and varied to meet the needs of our students.
The areas above are an important part of the Student Liaison Team and through our day-to-day contact we include a mixture of opportunities that are fun, challenging, progressive and relevant for students.

A successful enrichment programme can create within a culture that encourages retention and achievement. Having extra opportunities to learn and achieve, students get a chance to pursue other interests, to try out new thing, meet new people and to develop of personal skills.
