“It was a really good atmosphere, working as a team and encouraging each other. It was stressful in the day but we went out for meals in the evening and had the chance to relax and speak about how we’d done that day.”
Caitlan aims to qualify as an assessor or work on cruise ships after she completes her course.
“Competitions give you something to look forward to; they make you work even harder on your course so you get picked to compete.”
Jason Thacker, Hospitality and Catering Lecturer at the College, said: “The team absolutely smashed it! They demonstrated fantastic team work throughout the week – we are really proud of them- their efforts really paid off.”
