Distance learners

If you are a distance learner or your course runs at Atherstone, Bedworth or Polesworth campuses or Bermuda Park Innovation Centre, you can borrow learning resources (books, journals, DVDs) and use e-resources, incl. e-books, free of charge. Members of staff from those campuses can use library services too.

Do it online by filling in the application form. Your membership details will be emailed to you within one business day.

Easy to borrow

Use the library online catalogue to find what you are interested in.
 
Let us know the details of any item you wish to borrow using the online request form or phone us at 024 7624 3263, or email to library@nwhc.ac.uk.

The requested resources will be sent to your campus. If you require them urgently and can get to the Nuneaton or Hinckley campus, they can be held there for you to collect. You will receive an extra week on the normal loan period. The borrowed items are returned via your campus reception.

There is no charge for borrowing and posting any learning resources. Late return fees (£0.05 per day per item) apply. Loans can be renewed (extended) by telephone or by self-renewal online at heritage.nwhc.ac.uk using your College ID and your date of birth (six digits) for the password.

E-books and other online resources

Online resources, like e-books and e-journals, are increasingly important sources of information for further and higher education. The librarians can advise on their use. There, you can also request Athens access which allows free use of e-resources, with a password.

Harvard referencing

Harvard Referencing Guide is available for download. Librarians can advise on referencing and the library offers drop-in, group and one-to-one sessions in Nuneaton and Hinckley (see the blog or Facebook page for the dates). Sessions at other sites can be arranged on request from students and teachers.
