The Library is now running a College Staff Book Club: Friday 25th May at 3.30pm–4pm (eduLab, Nuneaton College Library) will be our next meeting. The meetings will be held once every two weeks.

You don’t have to read a novel a fortnight; you can include anything from magazine/journal articles, samples from e-books, graphic novels, poems, Quick Reads: anything you like.

Whatever you’re currently reading for pleasure can be included.

You would just need to mention what you’re reading, what it’s about, what’s good about it, what could be done to improve what you’ve read etc.

Please feel free to join us!

Six iPads have arrived in the college libraries at Hinckley and Nuneaton. They may be borrowed by anyone for upto four hours or – by teaching staff – for a duration of a class or project.

In the next couple of weeks, different apps and accessories (cables, connectors etc.) will be purchased. There will be plenty of science, graphic design, music, photography and fine art apps, so the iPads could be used for revision and projects.

Pop in to the library to play and learn!

Today is a special day. Not only is it St. George’s Day and Shakespeare’s birthday, but it is also World Book Night.

Throughout the country, 20,000 people are giving out 1 million books to help share the joy of reading. The college library has been lucky enough to secure 24 copies of ‘The time traveler’s wife’ by Audrey Niffenegger which were given out this morning in the staff lounge at the Nuneaton site.

All copies were soon snapped up by eager staff! Happy reading folks, let us know if you enjoyed the book.

If you missed out but would still like to read ‘The time traveler’s wife’, there’s a copy in the college library, as well as the author’s second novel, ‘Her fearful symmetry’.
