|Introduction||Do you want to work with children and play an important part in their education and development? This Apprenticeship will prepare you to support the teacher in a school setting. You'll learn how to help children develop self-esteem, independence and skills for learning.|

|Entry Requirements||English, Maths and ICT at Level 1.
All learners are required to undertaken a DBS prior to starting there Apprenticeship.

|Equipment||The equipment required to complete the Apprenticeship would be outlined by the employer and assessor.|
|Attendance||An assessor would be allocated to undertake the varying framework components within the work place and would generally visit at least once a month. |
|Assessment||Workplace observation and portfolio evidence.
|Progression||You could progress to a Higher Level Teaching assistant course or the Foundation degree.
Potential job roles include: teaching, classroom and learning support assistant; special needs assistant; behaviour support assistant/co-coordinator; pastoral/welfare assistant; foundation stage assistant or team leader.
|Qualification||Upon successful completion of the course you will achieve the overall Apprenticeship Framework for Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in School.|
