|Introduction||Do you want to work with children and play a part in their education and development?
This Apprenticeship will prepare you to support the teacher in a school setting.
You'll learn how to help children develop self-esteem, independence and skills for learning.
|Study Outline||Examples of units you may cover include:
-Communication and professional relationships with children, young people and adults
-Schools as organisations
-Support learning activities
-Promote children and young people's positive behaviour
-Develop professional relationships with children, young people and adults
-Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in work with children and young people
-Support assessment for learning
-Engage in personal development in health, social care or childrens and young peoples settings
-Support children and young people's health and safety
-Understand child and young person development.
-Understand how to safeguard the wellbeing of children and young people|
|Entry Requirements||Entry to the Advanced Apprenticeship can be from the Intermediate Apprenticeship in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or from an Intermediate Apprenticeship in a relevant subject, extensive work experience in the industry, GCSEs, A-Levels or current employment.
If you're interested in becoming an Apprentice, you will need to be employed or find an employer who is recruiting an Apprentice.

|Attendance||One day per week at College and four days per week in the work place. |
|Progression||After completing this Apprenticeships, you could go on to become a Teaching/Classroom/Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Support Assistant/Coordinator, Pastoral Welfare
Support Assistant, Bilingual Support Assistant or Team Leader.|
