IntroductionEngineering is an exciting, ever-evolving industry that opens up a huge range of career options. This Apprenticeship will give you the underpinning knowledge you need to become a trained operator in the manufacturing sector.
Study OutlineOptional areas include: -Machining -Electronics -Welding/ Fabrication -Technical Support.
Entry RequirementsGCSE grades D or above in English, Maths and Science. If you’re interested in becoming an Apprentice, you will need to be employed or find an employer who is recruiting an Apprentice. EquipmentOveralls, safety boots, pen, calculator. For safety reasons, entry to the workshops will not be allowed without the required safety equipment of overalls and safety boots.
AttendanceTwo years, with one day per week at College.
AssessmentAssessment will be via assignments and workplace observations.
ProgressionPotential job roles include: Metal Working and Machine Operative, Quality Control, CNC Operator, Maintenance Operative, Process Operator. You could also progress to an Advanced Apprenticeship.
