Study OutlineDepending on your work placement, options include Apprenticeships in: Machining, Electronics, Welding /Fabrication, Design, Maintenance or Technical support.
Entry RequirementsYou will need to have completed an Intermediate Engineering Apprenticeship and also have at least four GCSEs grade A-C including maths, English and science. If you’re interested in becoming an Apprentice, you will need to be employed or find an employer who is recruiting an Apprentice. See the Apprenticeships section of our website to discover more
EquipmentOveralls Safety Boots Pen Calculator For safety reasons, entry to the workshops will not be allowed without the required safety equipment of overalls and safety boots
AttendanceYou will be in the work place for four days per week and attend College for one day per week over 2 years.
AssessmentAssessment will be via assignments, workplace observation, portfolio evidence and online tests.
ProgressionYou could move on to the HNC/HND in Mechcanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering
