The City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Knowledge of Policing course is a new qualification which formally accredits "pre-join" knowledge prior to an application to the Police Service as a Police Officer. You will study a wide variety of subjects relevant to policing. The units on this course are: Unit 1 - Knowledge of providing initial support to victims and witnesses within a policing context Unit 2 Knowledge of gathering and submitting information to support law enforcement objectives within a policing context Unit 3 Knowledge of providing an initial response to incidents within a policing context Unit 4 Knowledge of conducting priority and volume investigations within a policing context Unit 5 Knowl
You should possess a Level 2 qualification. This qualification involves a large amount of study at home therefore you should be able to study and revise independently.
You will not require any specialist equipment
Part time course over 15 weeks
You will be assessed by a range of methods which will include a written exam and assignments
The Certificate in Knowledge of Policing qualification does not guarantee entry to your chosen Police Service. However, successful completion of the Certificate at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College will provide an advantages platform for an application to the Police Service. Throughout the course you will also be given advice and guidance on successful entry to the Police Service by experienced former Police Officers.
