IntroductionIf you want a career that allows you to be practical and work with a range of vehicles, this is the perfect Apprenticeship for you. Covering body repair and welding, this course will equip you will all of the skills and knowledge you need to work in the body and paint repair industry.
Study OutlineExamples of units you may cover include: -Removing and fitting body panels -Repairing non-structural body panels -Welding -Preparing metal and pre-painted surfaces -Preparing and applying fillers and foundation materials -Repairing minor paint defects

EquipmentYou will require steel toe cap shoes, overalls, notepad, pen / pencil and a memory stick / portable data storage device.
AttendanceFour days per week in the workplace and one day per week at College.
AssessmentThe apprenticeship will be assessed in a variety of ways including on-line exams, written assignments, completing practical tasks and work based practical observations.
ProgressionYou can progress to an Advanced Apprenticeship or go into full-time employment.
