|Introduction||Foundation Learning offer courses from Entry Level 1 to Level 1.
The emphasis on all courses in this area is on preparing young people for independent living and/ or future employment. For many it is also the stepping stone to further education courses in specific areas.
Small group sizes ensure that all learners are fully supported, and individually tailored support packages can be discussed during interview.
As a team we try to develop confidence and release potential through a wide range of activities.
Courses are available for learners aged 16-25 (depending upon EHCP details and requirements)
Group sizes are generally between 10-12 and teaching assistance is provided in each session.
|Study Outline||You will study a variety of occupational workshops alongside classroom based units including personal and social development skills and work preparation.
All courses aim to teach new skills, and develop old ones.
All courses include maths, English and ICT-and work experience

|Attendance||Attendance is usually timetabled 3 or 4 days per week.|
|Assessment||Assessment will take place throughout the course and will be based on observations, witness statements and your own work and achievements.|
|Progression||Possible progression onto Full time education at Entry Level 2 or above.|
|Qualification||Edexel Certificate in Personal Progress
