|Introduction||On the course you will receive an introduction to the Travel and Tourism industry at a national and international level. The BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Travel and Tourism gives you a great start in your career whether you want to go onto higher qualifications or get a job straight away.
You will gain experience of working with other people, problem solving and meeting deadlines, all of which are essential for a successful career in tourism.

In addition you will learn to use information technology and develop a deep understanding of customer service and the skills required to work in this fast paced industry.

|Entry Requirements||You will require one of the following:
4 x GCSE at Grade D
Foundation GNVQ or BTEC Introductory Diploma at Merit Level and Functional Skills at Level 1
Learners with vocational experience or alternative qualifications will be considered.
|Assessment||You will study a range of modules or units and each one will be assessed using a variety of methods including; taking part in role plays, creating posters and promotional leaflets, writing newspaper articles, taking part in interviews and writing reports. You will learn to work independently as well as part of a team.|
|Progression||This sector is expected to grow significantly over the next couple of years.
