|Introduction||This programme is designed to be a year 2 or for people to progress to that have achieved a 90 Credit Diploma in Travel and Tourism.
This is a full-time Study Programme that includes; a Diploma in Travel and Tourism, your own Progress Coach assigned to you to support your progress, English and maths if not achieved at GCSE grade C as well as work experience and an enrichment programme. |
|Study Outline||You will study with us for approx. 3 days a week.
On your main aim, Travel and Tourism you will study a range of units including:
Customer Service within the Travel & Tourism industry
The Cruise Sector
Long Haul Destinations
Handling Air Passengers
|Entry Requirements||BTEC Travel & Tourism Year 1 - 90 Credit Diploma in Travel and Tourism - Level 3
4 x GSCE @ grade C or above
|Equipment||You will need to have your own stationary which includes a memory stick|
|Attendance||You are expected to attend 100% of the time over 3 days, timings are approx. 09:00-16:15 each day.|
|Assessment||You will be assessed in a variety of different ways including: report writing, creating posters and leaflets, presentations, role plays, group work and writing blogs. |
|Progression||On achieving the Extended Diploma in Travel and Tourism you could:
*Go to University or a College to study a degree in; Events Management, Hospitality Management or Tourism
*Get a job in the travel sector working as a travel agent, a holiday representative or cabin crew
*Get a job in the tourism industry working at a visitor attraction
*Get a job in the hospitality sector; events planner, hotel or catering industry|
