|Introduction||OCR Cambridge Technical prepares learners for working in the care sector. It provides a good basis to go onto a more advanced work related qualification or progress to Level 3
|Study Outline||All students will be enrolled on the full diploma. All undertake 8 units , these include Communication ,Individual rights, Individual needs ,Ensuring Safe Environments. You will need undertake a minimum of 100 hours in a placement setting that is vocationally relevant.
|Entry Requirements||Aged 16+ with a minimum of: Certificate: 4 Grade D passes at GCSE level;(including Maths and English) All students are required to have an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS), this will be arranged by the college following interview.
|Equipment||You will require stationery equipment, uniform, which is to be worn whilst in placement, and text books.
|Attendance||1 year plan to complete the full diploma. Excellent attendance is required both in College and in the practical placement. Learners are required to attend all lectures.
|Assessment||All assessment is through assignment work.
|Progression||You can progress ontoa variety of potential careers that you can explore as the qualification enables you to apply for employment in a supporting capacity for example as care assistant in a range of settings or progress onto level 3.
