Mode Of Provision
The Level 3 90-credit BTEC Diploma prepares learners for direct employment in the care sector and is suitable for those who wish to continue their studies and remain at college to achieve an Extended Diploma (Year 2) It is broadly equivalent to 1.5 GCE A Levels in year 1 raising to 3 if year 2 is completed.
The programme consists of a number of units amounting to a total of 90 credits. Those units include: Effective Communication; Equality, Diversity and Rights; Health, Safety and Security; Life Stages; Anatomy and Physiology; Personal and Professional Development; Sociological Perspectives; Psychological Perspectives.
You will require 4 GCSE grades A-C or equivalent to include English and a Disclosure and Barring Service check
You will need to wear the College Polo shirt whilst you are at work placement. You can purchase this at enrolment.
One year, full time.
Each unit will be assessed through course work and your progress during work placement.
