IntroductionIf you have a creative flare and love beauty and fashion a career as a nail technician could be for you. This Apprenticeship combines theory with practical experience in a full range of nail treatments.
Study Outline-Health & Safety -Promoting Services and Products and team work -Salon reception -Manicure -Pedicure -Nail Art -Nail Enhancement - completing the application, maintenance and removal of Gel and Acrylic nails
Entry RequirementsYou will need GCSEs in English and Maths at a grade D or above. If you’re interested in becoming an Apprentice, you will need to be employed or find an employer who is recruiting an Apprentice. EquipmentYour salon will need to purchase a kit for the course costing around £200, with subject to change. You will also need to wear a salon tunic and trousers.
AttendanceYou will work in a salon for four days per week and attend College for one day per week.
AssessmentYou will be assessed practically on clients both in the workplace and at college. You will undertake online exams and build a portfolio of evidence.
ProgressionYou can progress to full-time employment within a salon.
