|Introduction||This qualification is ideal for those working within healthcare, social care, and education contexts and anyone looking to improve their knowledge and awareness in this area.|
|Study Outline||This qualification gives learners knowledge of different specific learning difficulties, how they are diagnosed and how individuals can be supported.
Specific Learning Difficulties include Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Dyscalculia and Autism.|
|Entry Requirements||The qualification is available for learners who are 19+ at the start of the academic year. There are no specific learning requirements but learners will need to demonstrate that they can fulfil the requirements of the awarding assessment criteria and comply with relevant literacy and numeracy aspects of the qualification.|
|Equipment||Each learner receives a set of high quality learner materials comprising of assessment booklets alongside knowledge and understanding books which are a valuable resource to keep for reference purposes.|
|Attendance||This qualification is delivered over a period of 12 weeks.|
|Assessment||Learners receive the support of a dedicated assessor and complete Unit Assessments to demonstrate they have met the qualification learning aims and assessment criteria.|
