|Introduction||This course is suitable for learners who want to work as electricians in the building services engineering sector.
This qualification does not make learners fully qualified electricians, but allows them to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and / or career progression in the electro-technology sector.|
|Study Outline||You will need to demonstrate and in some cases be observed in:
Working on a range of electrical installations including Domestic, Commercial and Industrial.
Working with a range of cable management systems and cables including singles, twin and earth, SWA, MI, Tray, Conduit and Trunking.
Satisfy the following skill areas:
Health & Safety on site
Fault diagnoses and correction
Managing technical and functional information
Preparing for and installing wiring systems|
|Entry Requirements||A minimum of 3 GCSEs at grades A* - C including English, mathematics and science.
Your place on the course will also be subject to an aptitude test, a manual dexterity assessment at your interview.

|Attendance||Duration 1 Year
Attendance Full Time
Start Day/Time Hours of attendance and start date will be confirmed at interview or enrolment. Usually Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
