|Introduction||This award gives the learner an understanding of the application of the IET Wiring Reflations Seventeenth Edition. It provides a facility for individuals working in the electrotechnical sector to develop and/or enhance their knowledge of the Requirements for Electrical Installation.|
|Study Outline||This qualification covers the full content of the BS7671: IET Wiring Regulations Seventeenth Edition (amendment three). The Regulations apply to the design, erection and verification of electrical installations, and also additions and alterations to existing alterations.|
|Entry Requirements||While there are no formal entry requirements for this course, applicants will ideally hold a Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation. In most cases, learners will be working in the electrotechnical trade, or have recent similar experience. A good standard of English and maths will be necessary.

|Equipment||This qualification is theoretical in content, meaning no practical equipment is necessary. Learners will need pens/paper and a copy of the IET BS7671 Regulations book, which can be used to support during the onscreen exam.|
|Attendance||Attendance is on a Tuesday evening from 6-9pm.|
|Assessment||Achievement of this qualification is via an onscreen open-book exam, facilitated here at the college.|
|Progression||We also offer a range of other industry-relevant short courses, which learners can progress on to study. These include Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification of Electrical Installations, as well as the Level 4 Award in the Design of Electrical Installations.|
