IntroductionThis qualification is designed for those new to, or preparing to work in, the logistics industry. It gives learners the opportunity to use real-life situations to develop their customer service skills in direct relation to their role within the logistics industry. Developed in partnership with industry specialists to provide an introduction to the logistics industry, this qualification specifically bridges the gap between existing qualifications in customer service and in logistics and provides an introduction to the logistics industry. The qualification will give learners the opportunity to develop their business awareness and understanding in a logistics environment and will address employer demand for better customer service in logistics organisations.

Entry RequirementsYou don’t need to have any specific prior learning requirements to take this qualification, but you may find it helpful if you’ve already achieved an Entry Level qualification. GCSE Grades D - G,initial assessment levels entry 3 - level 1 in English and Maths, good report from school, good attendance and attitude to match.
EquipmentYou will need to provide your own writing material, paper and folder. You will also need a storage device (USB) to save computerised work and PPE for workplace activities.
AttendanceYou will be required to attend at least 3 days per week as this is a full-time course, an attendance rate of 95% is essential. It is compulsory for you to attend all sessions including English and Math work experience.
AssessmentAssessment is internal and through a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria associated with each unit.
ProgressionOn successful completion of your study programme including English and Maths the qualification will support you in a number of job roles in the Logistics industry, such as: • Warehouse operator (newly recruited) • Warehousing operative • Customer service representative Administrative staff. If you’re interested in progressing to further study at the next level of vocational learning, the following qualifications are also available: • NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage • NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Customer Service for Logistics • NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Driving Goods Vehicles
