|Introduction||CPCAB Counselling Studies. A required qualification to be able to progress to the CPCAB TC-L4 qualification.
|Study Outline||There are 7 mandatory units to complete via a CPCAB candidate guide for learners. A variety of evidence is required including classroom observations, assignments and written reflective journals. An external assesment after two-thirds of the course is based around identifying counselling skills within a DVD.
|Entry Requirements||Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent) essential. Pass at CPCAB Level 2 in Counselling Skills
|Equipment||You will require stationery, a portfolio folder, and text books
|Attendance||1 year part time from 9.30am - 12.30pm or 6.00pm - 9.00pm once a week. CPCAB require a minimum of 80% attendance in order to pass the qualification.
|Assessment||Externall assesment is a 2 hour DVD under exam conditions. Internal assesment is a portfolio of evidence across 7 units, including observation of counselling practice.
|Progression||If successful, progression onto TC-L4 to qualify students as counsellors within an agency setting. This CST-L3 qualification is seen as the second year of a 4 year programme to qualify as a practitioner.
