|Introduction||This course is validated by Edexcel BTEC and would suit students wishing to study for a professional qualification while studying locally at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College.|
|Study Outline||Year one: Computer Systems, IT Support for End Users, Business Skills for e-Commerce and Systems Analysis. Year two: Employability and Professional Development, Multimedia Design and Authoring, Database Design Concepts and Object Oriented Programming. Six hours study at College and approximately twelve hours working from home per week to complete assignments.|
|Entry Requirements||HNC/HND (part-time): A good level of understanding of IT, preferably having a level 3 IT qualification. Entry is at the discretion of the College and will be based on a formal interview. Mature students who do not possess formal qualifications are very welcome to apply Please visit the UCAS website for information.|
|Equipment||Course books, a home based computer with Internet access would also be beneficial.

|Attendance||Two years, part-time, two evenings per week (1800-2100)|
|Assessment||Assessment is based on a combination of assignments, phase tests and examinations.|
|Progression||A further two years (two evenings per week )studying the Edexcel BTEC Higher National Diploma (Level 5) (part-time) at NWHC. Alternatively an HND/BSc (full-time) at university.|
