Ideal if you are looking to pursue a career in Childcare, this Apprenticeship will allow you to work towards your qualification whilst gaining real classroom experience.
Examples of units covered include:
Promote communication in health, social care or children's and young people's settings
Engage in personal development
Promote equality and inclusion
Principles for implementing duty of care
Understand and promote child and young person development
Understand how to safeguard the wellbeing of children and young people
Support children and young people's health and safety
Develop positive relationship with children, young people and others involved in their care
Working together for the benefit of children and young people
Understand how to support positive outcomes for children and young people
Entry could be from an Intermediate Level Apprenticeship or an alternative qualification in a child-care related subject, practical experience in the industry or 3 GCSEs (A*-C).
If you're interested in becoming an Apprentice, you will need to be employed or find an employer who is recruiting an Apprentice.

As part of an Apprenticeship you will usually attend College for one day per week and your work placement for four days per week.
Potential job roles include:
-Practitioner in a Children's Centre
-Practitioner in Day Nurseries, Nursery Schools or Reception Classes in Primary Schools
-Registered Childminders and Nannies
