|Introduction||The CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Early Years Education & Care . It prepares you to work with children and their families in a variety of settings and environments within the Early Years sector. The qualification will build and develop the necessary practical skills and understanding to provide learners with a firm grounding in the principles of children's care for progression into possible employment or level 3.
|Study Outline|| There are 14 mandatory units in the Certificate.You will attend a variety of settings arranged by the college to fulfill the 250 hours required placement hours.
|Entry Requirements|| Aged 16+ with a minimum of: Certificate: 4 Grade D passes at GCSE level;(including Maths and English) All students are required to have an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS), this will be arranged by the college following interview
|Equipment||You will require stationery equipment, uniform, which is to be worn whilst in placement, and text books.
|Attendance||1 year plan to complete the full certificate. Excellent attendance is required both in College and in the practical placement. Learners are required to attend all lectures.
|Assessment||All assessment is through portfolio building which is built up from assignment work & placement tasks.
|Progression||Successful completion of this course enables you to apply for either/or a Level 3 Child Studies course or Health & Social Care Course subject to Maths and English grades.Or possible Employment such as Nursery Assistant.
