Mode Of Provision
The level 2 in food safety is ideal for all those requiring food hygiene training for industry. Reflecting sector-specific needs, these food safety qualifications are required to address new National Occupational Standards. They are designed for anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled.
This course is delivered on Nuneaton site but can be delivered on an Industry site if requested.
The qualifications cover the following topics: Legislation; Food safety and hygiene hazards; Temperature control; Refrigeration, chilling and cold holding; Cooking, hot holding and reheating; Food handling; Principles of safe food storage; Cleaning; Food premises and equipment.
There are no entry requirements.
No equipment required, all course material will be provided for you. Photographic ID will be required to sit exam. This can be a Passport, Driving License, EU card or Proof of age card.
Assessment is a multiple choice examination.
Attend a level 3 Award in Supervising food safety course or Level 2 award in HACCP
