IntroductionThis course is designed to meet the needs of students wishing to work in the front of house area of Hospitality. It is designed to develop and enhance food and drink service skills.
Study OutlineYou will study: Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Food and Beverage Service or equivalent; College certificate Food Safety in Catering; Functional /GCSE'S at an appropriate level; Award in developing enterprise skills; Award in customer service and Award in alcohol awareness. Other opportunities include competition work.
Entry RequirementsLevel 1 Diploma Introduction to the Hospitality Industry Level 1 Certificate introduction to Professional Food and Beverage Service Skills is desirable but not essential, and/or industry experience. Initial/diagnostic assessment results. An individual’s qualifications and experience will be considered at interview stage.
EquipmentYou will require a restaurant uniform.
AttendanceOne year, full-time
AssessmentThroughout the course you will build up a portfolio of evidence of your food service skills and knowledge and take part in practical assessments. It will also be delivered by theory classes with written assessments.
ProgressionThis qualification enables you to enter and progress within the front of house sector of the Hospitality and Catering industry.
