|Introduction||This Apprenticeship will enable you to develop the skills needed to work as a professional Accountant who understands the needs of an organisation, its customers and the sector in which they operate. Typical job roles of an Advanced Apprentice are: Accounts Payable Clerk, Assistant Accountant, Audit Trainee, Bookkeeper or Finance Assistant. |
|Study Outline||AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting (AQ2016), includes units in the following areas: -Advanced Bookkeeping -Final Accounts Preparation -Management Accounting -Costing -Indirect tax -Ethics for Accountants -Spreadsheets for Accounting. You will also study Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English if not already achieved. The course includes training on Employment Rights and Responsibilities, as well as Personal Learning and Thinking Skills.|
|Entry Requirements||You will need to have an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Accounting or have undertaken a GCSE, A Level/GNVQ standard of education. |Equipment||AAT textbooks and supporting materials will be supplied. Membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians is also required.
|Attendance||One year day release college attendance combined with work-based assessment visits.|
|Assessment||Computer-based assessment centrally set and assessed by AAT, combined with work-based assessment visits.|
|Progression||Progression through to the Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting. |
