|Introduction||This apprenticeship trains you to play an important support role within a business or organisation. Administrators handle the day-to-day tasks in an office and make sure things run smoothly. This sort of work requires a strong sense of responsibility, accuracy and attention to detail. As an Advanced Apprentice you may have already completed an Intermediate Apprenticeship or have some experience of working in an administrative role. |
|Study Outline||During this eighteen month programme you will build a portfolio demonstrating your ability against five core units: Communication in business environment; Manage personal and professional development; Principles of business communication and information; Principles of administration; Principles of business. In addition, you will choose a selection of optional units which relate closely to your current administrative role.
You will also study towards Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT at level 2. |
|Entry Requirements||If youre interested in becoming an Apprentice, you will need to be employed or find an employer who is recruiting an Apprentice.

|Equipment||No specialist equipment is required|
|Attendance||The course is delivered in the workplace, using a flexible delivery method to fit in with work patterns, employee shifts and company requirements. Attendance is required on a six week block release course at college, one day per week.|
|Assessment||Assessment is via continual assessment of a portfolio throughout the programme with observations in the workplace. |
|Progression||You may consider specialising in an area of Business, such as Marketing, Finance or IT or may wish to undertake training in Management.|
|Qualification||Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration|
