Mode Of Provision
This course is designed as an introduction to teaching for all new teachers, trainers, and tutors in the Lifelong Learning sector (learners over 14 years of age). You do not need to be working in a teaching role to complete this course.
NOTE - this course is not appropriate for those wanting to teach in primary or secondary schools. More guidance for teaching in the compulsory education sector is availble on www.education.gov.uk/get-into-teaching
Areas you will study include:
The inclusive learning environment
Investigating professional responsibilities
Inclusive learning and teaching
Planning for inclusive learning
Principles of assessment
Micro teaching to peers
Candidates will be invited to attend an initial assessment and interview session prior to enrolment.
Be appropriately qualified to at least level 3 in their teaching specialism or have vocational competence at level 3 (vocational reference required) and hold at least a level 1 qualification, or equivalent, in English and Maths.
General stationery, files.
A combination of assignments and an observed micro-teach.
Students who have the appropriate teaching may progress to the Certificate or Diploma in Education.
