|Introduction||This qualification is suitable for people who:
want a qualification which focuses on practical teaching;
are currently teaching and want to have their experience and practice accredited;
are not currently teaching but can meet the minimum teaching practice requirement of 30 hours (this could be voluntary or paid work);
are able to undertake a qualification of medium size;
have the potential to study at this level, which has the same level of demand as the first year of an undergraduate|
|Study Outline||The course covers:
understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training;
planning to meet the needs of learners;
delivering teaching or training;
using resources in education and training.
|Entry Requirements||Candidates will be invited to attend an initial assessment and interview session prior to enrolment.
You will need to be appropriately qualified to at least level 3 in a teaching specialism or have vocational competence at level 3 (vocational reference required).
You will need to have a PTLLS or the Award in Education and Training, hold a subject specialist qualification at NQF/QCF level 3.
30 hours of teaching practice confirmed (no requirement for group teaching) able to arrange thre|
|Equipment||General stationery, files.|
|Attendance||Friday 09:30-12:30 starting on the 22nd January 2016 at our Nuneaton Campus
|Assessment||You will be assessed via three summative assignments and an electronic professional development portfolio 30 hours of teaching practice are required for this level.
Three hours of this will be observed, assessed and discussed with the learner.|
