|Introduction||There are no GCSE retake courses to be completed in November 2017 this academic year. The next available course will be in September 2018.|
|Study Outline||The GCSE Retake course is for anyone who has recently sat their GCSE Maths exam and gained a grade 3 and were within a few marks of gaining the grade 4 (currently a grade C equivalent).
The course lasts for 8 weeks and will allow learners the opportunity to focus on key areas that prevented them from gaining the grade 4.
|Entry Requirements||They must be within 5 marks of gaining a grade 4 at GCSE Maths and the qualification be with AQA examining board.|
|Equipment||Pen, Paper, Folder for your work, Calculator, Ruler, Compass, Protractor
Along with the above it would be helpful if you can bring any of your assessments / practice papers that you have already completed for the tutor to review with you to help identify areas to work on.|
|Attendance||3 hours per week up until the exam date and you are expected to have 100% attendance.|
|Assessment||There will be a number of assessments and it is expected that you complete many of them as homework including looking at the exam that was taken in May / June to identify areas to work on.|
|Progression||For non-Mathematics academic study, a minimum grade C is needed to progress into other courses or into some employment routes.|
