Mode Of Provision
This is an Introductory Desktop Publishing Design course aimed at adults who would like to learn the basic skills required to produce individual desktop publishing outcomes.
The course will cover: basic skills in both the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and relevant Microsoft packages (Word and Publisher). This will include layout, typography, importing and editing images, inputting copy text and an understanding of DTP terminology which will enable learners to produce individual desktop publishing outcomes such as leaflets, booklets, posters etc. in print ready formats.
A basic understanding of IT is essential.
Sessions will be delivered from a fully equipped Design IT suite and all essential software will be provided. Learners will be required to bring a 8GB memory stick for storage of files and will be required to supply any photographic images and copy text that they wish to include within designs.
