Level 2 Award in Food Safety Course

The level 2 award in food safety course at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College is ideal for all those requiring food hygiene training for industry. Reflecting sector-specific needs, these food safety qualifications are required to address new National Occupational Standards. They are designed for anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled. This course is delivered at our Nuneaton site but can be delivered on an Industry site if requested.

The qualification covers the following topics:

  • Legislation
  • Food safety and hygiene hazards
  • Temperature control
  • Refrigeration, chilling and cold holding
  • Cooking, hot holding and reheating
  • Food handling
  • Principles of safe food storage
  • Cleaning
  • Food premises and equipment

This is a one day course with the following dates available:

  • 27 April 2018
  • 17 May 2018
  • 15 June 2018
  • 06 July 2018

This course costs £25 (depending on circumstances you could be able to study the course for free.) Please note that we have a limited number of spaces available, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
