Childcare courses at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College

Our courses aim to prepare students for a successful career in the early years and education sector. We do this by combining a mixture of classroom learning alongside work placements in a childcare setting, to support you to achieve your goals and leave fully prepared to work in the sector.

Level 1 Introduction to Health & Social Care and Young People’s Settings

The Level 1 Diploma is a practical, work-related course. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations and activities. It introduces you to the types of provision in the Health, Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s sectors. Please click here to find out more

Level 2 Early Years and Education

This qualification aims to prepare learners to work with children between birth and five years, with knowledge of children up to seven years. It provides you with the high standard of training you need to begin working under supervision, with young children in a variety of early years’ settings such as nurseries, playgroups and schools. Level 3 Early Years and Education

The Level 3 course will prepare you to work with children and their families in a variety of settings and environments within the Early Years sector. Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Play, Learning and Development Early Years Educator

This course will prepare you to work with children and their families in a variety of settings and environments within the Early Years sector. The qualification will build and develop the necessary practical skills and understanding to provide learners with a firm grounding in the principles of children's care for progression into employment or higher level education.
