NWHC students created a beautiful flower wall for use during the Photography show at the NEC last week.
Four students, who are currently studying the Level 3 Floristry course were tasked to create a company logo made from a whopping 3,500 carnations!
The display was commissioned by Clements who were working for photography equipment suppliers Manfrotto.
Together the students conditioned the materials, cut each flower to the exact length, waxed the stem ends and then inserted them into the design.
Peta Steadman, Floristry Lecturer at the College said: “This was great work experience for the students who had to work to very tight timescales and an excellent way to introduce them to the world of event floristry. The company were really impressed by the students’ professionalism and dedication to the task.
