Hospitality & Catering students from North Warwickshire & Hinckley College scooped 55 awards during international culinary competitions last week.
Eight Hospitality & Catering students travelled to Llandudno in Wales to compete in the Welsh International Culinary Championships. The three-day event saw young people from across the UK test their skills in a variety of competitions, including Welsh beef main course, knife skills, napkin folding and fish filleting.

Altogether, the students who are all studying on Level 1, 2 and 3 Hospitality and Catering courses at the College, went home with 55 medals:
- 15 Best in Class plates
- 3 Gold Medals
- 23 Silver Medals
- 8 Bronze Medals
- 4 Certificate of Merits
- 2 Hygiene Awards
Dean Burnham was also awarded Best Live in Show with a score of 95 out of 100.
Jason Thacker, Hospitality, and Catering Lecturer at the College said: “All of the students were very professional throughout. They demonstrated fantastic teamwork and we are extremely proud to have them representing the College. This was a great result for the team and has really helped the students to prepare for other competitions we have coming up over the academic year.
