Level 6 CIPS Diploma in Procurement and Supply
Chloe, 28, from East Goscote, is looking forward to adding a higher-level qualification to her CV when she completes her Level 6 CIPS Diploma in Procurement and Supply. Chloe chose to start work at 17 rather than going to university and has already added a number of other qualifications to her CV through workplace training with her employer, ESPO. She achieved NVQs at Levels 2 and 3 in business administration and IT before moving into her purchasing role with ESPO, a public sector professional buying organisation owned by six local authorities.
In her role as Procurement Officer, Chloe has already successfully achieved CIPS qualifications at Level 4 and 5 which are essential in her job role. Chloe explained that the hard work required for all three levels of CIPS is worth it. She has learned plenty of added-value strategies for getting the best out of her procurement activities including supplier management practices such as establishing and developing long-term relationships with the supply base, being mindful of, and engaging with, the wider supply chain, and sustainability and ethics.
Chloe has found her college experience particularly valuable as she has been able to share experiences with students from the private sector who have given her a different perspective on purchasing. Once she has successfully completed her qualification, Chloe will be eligible to apply for more senior roles within ESPO including Senior Procurement Officer and Category Manager positions.
