Access to Higher Education
Do you have ambitions to study at University but don’t have the formal qualifications?
Our Access courses may be the answer you’re looking for!
Access courses are designed to help those who don’t have the right experience or traditional qualifications a route to progress onto degree-level study; the qualification is widely recognised by UK universities and allow entry onto their degree programmes, as well as higher education courses right here at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College.
Our Access courses will introduce you to your chosen subject and help you to develop the knowledge and skills required to study at university-level, so that students are confident and well prepared when they go on to higher education. You will learn in a classroom environment and have your own designated tutor whenever you need support or guidance.
There is no upper-age limit to study an Access course and most qualifications can be completed within one year, with the option to choose part-time study on a flexible basis over two years. The Access course will also provide an opportunity for developing study and academic skills in a range of subject areas as well as the chance to study the required English and maths qualifications for progressing onto further studies and employment.

“I would highly recommend the Access to HE route. As a mature student returning to education after a considerable amount of time, the support and guidance given by lecturers slowly built my confidence and taught me how to learn again.”
