Do you have ambitions to study at University but don’t have the formal qualifications? Our Access to Higher Education courses may be the answer you’re looking for!
Access to HE courses are designed to provide those who don’t have the right experience or traditional qualifications a route to study at University. The qualification is widely recognised by UK universities and provides entry onto degree programmes.
Here at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College, our aim is to make sure that students leave us feeling confident and well prepared when they go on to higher education. Learners will be introduced to their chosen subject and taught the academic skills and knowledge needed to take the next step onto a higher education course.
Students will be taught in a classroom environment and have a designated tutor who’s on hand to provide support and guidance throughout your time at College. In addition, students will have the chance to study the required English and maths qualifications needed for progressing onto further studies and employment.
This route is perfect for anyone who has been out of education for some time or looking to change direction in their career – there is no upper age limit and most qualifications can be completed within one year.
Meet Kirsty Allenby... who previously studied the Access to Higher Education and BA (hons) 2+2 Degree delivered in partnership with the University of Warwick
We also offer a pre-access course for those who have no formal qualifications and will provide an opportunity for developing studying and academic skills and confidence, and gain several GCSE’s to start the Access to Higher Education course the following year.
