Apprenticeships in Business Administration open up a whole world of career opportunities, from jobs in large corporations to small, independent businesses.
They also serve as a cost-effective training option for businesses across a huge range of sectors.
Lauren Hill, from Bedworth, talks about her Business Apprenticeship and how it has put her on track to pursue her career:
Lauren is studying the Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship with North Warwickshire & Hinckley College and working as a Lettings Administrator at Cartwright Hands, a residential and commercial estate agent, chartered surveyors and property consultancy, in Nuneaton.
“I enrolled on an Apprenticeship Course at North Warwickshire and Hinckley College, where I learnt the background of what an apprentice is, and the roles and responsibilities of apprentices.
“I wanted an apprenticeship that offered me progression and further opportunities. I then had a one-to-one with an Apprenticeship Recruitment Adviser at the college where they highlighted all of the current vacancies that best suited me, and helped me to apply after a number of interviews. When I had my interviews with Cartwright Hands I liked the fact that there was lots of different things I would be involved with. After numerous interviews, I was offered an apprenticeship with Cartwright Hands which was my preference as I wanted to work within a small team.
“I joined the team in April 2017, my first six months have been varied, I have shadowed the Lettings Manager on viewings, mid-term inspections and final inspections. I am now also preparing Tenancy agreements, liaising with tenants and landlords, helping with signings and handing over keys, I have also learnt about the legal rules behind letting property. I look forward to my future within Cartwright Hands!”
