Equality & Diversity Statement
The College is committed to equality of opportunity for staff, learners, members of the public and community groups, on all sites, and all others who come into contact with College representatives.
Our commitment to equal opportunities means that the College will take action to ensure that all these groups are entitled to equality of opportunity regardless of age, disability, gender, race, religion, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, class, marital status or employment.
Documents are available in large print upon request.
Single Equality Scheme
The College is working towards the Single Equality Scheme, with a timetable and realistic action plan of how we are intending to ensure quality. It is evolving a document that will be reviewed and updated consulting both existing and potential College users, partners, community groups and voluntary organisations.
This new document is intended to continuously adapt to new developments and legislations and to reflect our growing understanding of existing and emerging issues. However, the scheme will be formally reviewed annually and a three year Action Plan implemented.
An easy read version of our Equality Scheme is available by clicking here and the full Equality Scheme 2011 can be accessed here.
Further to the Single Equality Scheme and in compliance with the changes to the Equality Duty in June 2011, the College has published its Equality Report 2012 which can be accessed here.
